Why I Want To Be A Chemist?
It would be a blatant fabrication if I were to say that I wanted to be a Chemist from the very beginning of my life though I had a natural predilection to science. Since my childhood, I have been a keen observer and am well known for probing new avenues, always enthusiastic and ready with a chain of questions. Having been brought up in an ideal family, I have been blessed to have parents who instilled me with moral principles and encouraged me to participate in all science exhibitions, quizzes, and other examinations.
I had chosen Applied Chemistry & Chemical Engineering to study over others since I really have a strong affection for this very practical field after my 9th grade in high school, when I had to choose Science, Arts or Commerce as a major field to study. I started to correlate the things happening surrounding me with Chemistry. Some of those were very correct but with the help of my teachers I learned a lot of new theories on that time.
In my Undergraduate, I tried to develop my basic knowledge in subjects like Inorganic, Organic and Physical Chemistry, Engineering Drawing, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry and Polymer Science. During Master’s program I was introduced to some new topics, for instance, Nanotechnology, Biochemical Engineering and Biomaterials which were closely related to the application

Having done that, I would like to return back to Bangladesh and implement what I will learn in the US. I would also like to contribute my share to my country. Finally, I strongly believe that The University of XXXX will be a perfect match for me because its high number of research activities and reputed faculties, has captured the position of one of the best graduate schools in the United States, particularly in natural science background and I will be on song to fully utilize my talent if I get the suitable opportunity to be a member of this admirable

Having a Father working as a Chemist since a young age, science has always played a key influence in my upbringing at home, as well as at school. However I have only found in recent years how interesting and exciting this can be, and so sparking my interest in Biomedical sciences began at GCSE level, where the level of detail, precision and anatomy of the human body captured my attention greatly, I knew from here I wanted a career in such an exciting and developing field. I chose to follow my passion and continued to study biology and chemistry at AS level. I found these very interesting and enjoyed learning, especially human biology and genetics related topics. What appeals to me particularly about biomedicine as opposed to other biological science courses, is the larger, more fulfilling and exciting lab work present.…
