A commercial construction superintendent is responsible for managing the daily construction activities in the commercial arena, which includes carrying out construction and renovation for retail outlets, food service establishments, and other commercial industries. These superintendents spend a majority of their day constantly communicating with their clients with regard to the status of the construction project. They are responsible for overseeing the work of these subcontractors to ensure operations are carried out safely and smoothly. These superintendents also manage other aspects of the project such as accounting, including payroll and expenses, for maximizing efficiency. Therefore, your resume template should reflect a great amount of flexibility.

To qualify for the position of commercial construction superintendent, some form of formal education is considered mandatory. In addition, prior experience in supervisory positions in the field of construction is also considered important. Besides these, a commercial construction superintendent must have excellent communication skills because they will be in constant coordination with subcontractors, construction laborers, and clients on an everyday basis. Your resume template must reflect your fluency in the aforementioned skills.

The primary tasks of a commercial construction superintendent are to carry out effective supervision over construction workers, ensure that standards are met when it comes to quality of work, and complete the project on time and within the allocated budget.
