My degree program is Bachelors of Science in health science. With this degree I can look forward to working in many health care fields. I am interested in working as a dental hygienist. I have experienced a dental hygienist working environment and it is certainly an environment I will feel absolutely comfortable working at. It will be a long journey to meet the requirements to achieve my goals and it will be a pleasure and a life changing experience to finally graduate and become dental hygienist. Dental hygienists have an interesting job they earn a good amount of money every year depending on how many visitor they received. In “May 2010 the national median salary for dental hygienist was $68,250 per year” (Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Outlook Handbook Thursday, March 29, 2012). Certificates, bachelor 's degrees, and master 's degrees in dental hygiene are also available but are less common among dental hygienists. Some Private dental offices usually require a minimum of an associate’s degree or certificate in dental hygiene. A bachelor 's or master 's degree is usually required for research, teaching, or clinical practice in public or school health programs. Also you must be certified with first Aid and CPR.
