Having a job/career isn’t easy. Especially looking into being a Veterinarian. People may think it’s like any other occupation. You need to know what Education you need, what Skills you need, what Salary you will be making, and the Pros and Cons of this job. Veterinarians may have their ups and downs, but Veterinarians are helping out a community, thats all that matters.
All Veterinarians need to gave a type of Education, As a fact, you could go to college, you could get your Vet Tech Degree and work on animals in surgery. If you have a better education you’ll have a better job. for example, The University of Illinois has a great Veterinarian Program. You have to attend this college for roughly 4-5 years. Then, you’ve graduated.
To be a Veterinarian, you can have some skills. But they are NOT required. Some skills that you can have are; Critical thinking skills and Business skills. You could practice these in High School or even at a job .These will help you throughout your career. …show more content…
You work with Animals and People. Some degrees you will have to take and earn are; Bachelors, DVM, and Doctoral degree. DVM or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine is the state licensure for Veterinarians. This takes four years to earn. For your bachelors degree will take four years to earn, too! ( Bachelors degree is very important to earn because, you need to earn your bachelors degree to get into a DVM program, for your Veterinarian license. Getting your Doctoral degree takes an average one year to a year and a half. Your salary will range from $9.06-$41.66. (Depending on your job) Veterinarian assistants earn $11.75 an hour, and $24,430 annually. Doctors earn $20.61 an hour and $30,290
