Why I Want To Become A Clinical Social Worker

As I worked on my S.O.A.R. brainstorm it lead me to identifying and discovering many things about myself, I learned the skills and interests I have myself and the realization that i no longer want to pursue in the Medical or Business field but to work as a Social Worker. Careers that personally appeal to me are ones that help people and make an impact on someone's life and makes a difference. My career goal is to become a Clinical Social Worker. What interests me about this job is managing different people for different reasons and positively helping their lives and making it better. A few experiences I've had so far that lead me to believe that I would excel in this career is I can easily help anybody solve their problems and I enjoy seeing
You also have to keep detailed and concise records of each and every patient during the course of their treatment, also to consult with physicians, medical professionals and therapists when it is deemed appropriate. But also to act as an administrator within a Social Services organization. The most common cases or patients that clinical workers treat are bio-psycho-social-spiritual dysfunction, mental and emotional behavioral and addictive disorders,injury and disability on bio-psychosocial-spiritual functioning, differential diagnosis, prevention, amelioration and lastly developmental disabilities and the impact of physical illness. Being a Social Worker there aren’t many characteristics you need to have but there are a few and they are easy to obtain, you need empathy to understand a person's situation and to understand and help solve their problems. Boundary setting helps a social worker maintain the capacity to set boundaries
