I will need to be able to keep it all separated and organized so I can find it easily. My ambition will also help with this to make sure I keep working on it and I don’t let it pile up too high. Being dependable is important for this career because my patients need to know that I will be there both physically and mentally during their appointments or our time together so that they can get the most out of therapy as possible. One of the most important skills is working well in a group and doing my share. OTs work alongside PTs and other rehabilitation therapists, so it is essential that I can work well with others to benefit the patient. It is also important that I do my share and do the exercises that the other therapists might not do because they don’t fall into the kinds of treatments they choose. Also, my ability to problem solve is helpful because if a patient cannot perform an activity correctly, I will have to be able to figure out a way to help them adapt to their condition in order to get to the same end result.
