Walking in a chilly corridor with a strong smell of disinfectant was terribly sickening. Me and my mother were anxiously heading to the ward of my grandmother. When we entered the room, grandmother was neither connected to tubes nor pale. Expecting grandmother is fine and normal, I excitedly run into her chest. With her empty eyes, she calmly asked the doctor who am I. Shocked and heartbroken, the doctor explained to us that my grandmother had got a severe stroke and her memory was impaired. Through taking nutrition and biology courses, I acquired a deeper understanding on cases of diet-related diseases, which trains my alertness on what diseases and eating habits are interrelated. These courses have helped me to build a foundation for dietetics, which is essential to understand why a patient get sick and find out solutions to help them. Fascinated by how nutrition influences the human body, I did peer tutoring in human biology. Every Friday, I sit in the library to share my knowledge and give guidance to other
