Abortion is the deliberate termination of a pregnancy. Because of that, I believe abortion is wrong because someone is willingly and knowingly killing a child that is in one’s womb. The child you killed will never get to experience the world because it never had the chance to. You might feel guilty of relieved that you do not have to experience motherhood at unwanted time, but one day near or far the fact that you never saw that child and never knew what they were like will hurt you. The bible states in one of the ten commandments that “you shall not kill”. Meaning unborn or alive should not be killed. Some Christians would disagree. Some Christians believe that the commandments isn’t referring to an unborn child so they think it’s okay.

It can cause psychological damage. When abortion is considered and eventually occurs, there is much relief in the mother because the responsibility that would be laid on her is now off. The Fourth Amendment is concerned with privacy along with search and seizure restrictions that apply in public schools, but, the Courts give school officials and police more flexibility to conduct searches in school. In this case and law review you will learn about two different cases where Courts balance a student’s privacy rights against the school’s interest in safety and student discipline. Abortion goes against any idea of the sanctity of human ways. It ends up taking away an innocent child’s life; someone that never got the chance to experience the beautiful ways of the world. Abortion is murder of an innocent life, and it is completely wrong in every way. There is no justification that could cover the fact that we are murdering our most defenseless human beings, and if anything we should be doing everything to protect them and keep them safe from danger, but yet some are doing the complete opposite. Abortion should never be an option, and one should never feel like abortion is the only choice because it is not the only choice. One must understand that abortion is not just, and people must come to their senses and realize the true outcomes of aborting a…

Studies show that about 43% of American women will have one or more abortions during their lifetime, and women's centers and hospitals perform more than a million abortions on an annual basis. Women have many reasons for not wanting to be pregnant including age, marital status, economic status, and the circumstances of their pregnancy, and thus seek out an abortion. There are hundreds of social problems in the USA today and one of the most complicated is abortion. Abortion is so complicated because it affects a woman’s body, causing it to be a very personal and emotional issue, but at the same time because it is affecting a future American citizen, it becomes a problem that America as a society has to deal with. This causes America to be split into two sides, one side claiming that it should be the woman’s choice since they think it affects the woman alone and the other side claiming that it affects society as a whole and can’t be left to the woman alone to decide. The later position would seem to be the accurate claim considering the fact that over 50 million babies have been aborted in America since…

Ever since 1973, the U.S. government has allowed the right to kill over 56 million innocent unborn but alive babies (Abortion Procedures During First, Second and Third Trimester. ”).Abortion is wrong because babies feel pain during the procedure, the mother’s rights are honored above the child’s, and it is immoral and anti-religious. Abortion is an on-going debate throughout the United States. Americans divide 50% as pro-choice and 44% on pro-life. (Saad, 2015) Majority of women side with pro-choice, and being a woman myself, I stand with pro-choice. I believe that it’s an individual’s right to decide what they’re doing to their bodies, and no one else should be allowed to deny them of said right. There are many different reasons as to why someone would get an abortion. Whether it be from results of rape, birth control failure, teen pregnancy, or whatever the case may be, every abortion is thought out and no option is an easy option.…

In the sixth commandment is says “You shall not murder”. That is what people are doing. They are murdering a potential life. According to Patrick Johnston “The record of the earliest surviving baby is 18 weeks, little Kenya King born in Orlando, Florida, in 1985, as reported by the Orlando Sentinel. However, if the baby is dismembered and extracted piece by piece with forceps, as is done via a Dilation & Extraction abortion on a mid-trimester baby, what are the child's chances of survival then? The outcomes are not always identical” (Johnston). Late term abortions should never be allowed for any reason. The location of the baby does not matter. If the baby is in the womb it is still a person. If the baby is out of the womb it is still a…

    Why Abortion Is Immoral

    • 491 Words
    • 2 Pages

Why Abortion Is Immoral was written by Don Marquis. His thesis is described in the title. He started off by establishing some historical facts about abortion. According him there were no laws prohibiting abortion in the United States until well into the 19th century. By the 20th century every state passed laws to prohibit it. In 1973 in the case Roe vs. Wade, the Supreme Court ruled that the laws outlawing abortion violated women’s rights to privacy. He then implies that the legal status of abortion could possibly change in the near future. Marquis believes that the crucial moral question about abortion is “Do we have the same reasons not to kill a fetus that we have not to kill an adult?” He believes it’s wrong because it deprives them of their future. According to Marquis, abortion is seriously immoral with rare exceptions.…
