Why Is Animal Testing Wrong
Most people have loving pets in their households. However, some animals don’t get the love they deserve. Animals that are used for testing new medical treatments go through experiments that could be considered cruel. According to ProCon.org (capitalized my source) animals go through harsh conditions to test products. The poor, innocent animals don’t deserve to be treated the way they are. There are many alternatives that could be used instead (changed the syntax to make my point more clear) of animal testing. Animals and humans are not the same, animal testing is inhumane and expensive. Companies are trying to get the message around and stop animal testing. Testing new medical treatments on animals is wrong.
One reason that animals testing is wrong is because of how inhumane it is. According to ProCon.org, “The Draize eye test, used by cosmetics companies to evaluate irritation caused by shampoos and other products, involves rabbits being incapacitated in stocks with their eyelids held open by clips, sometimes for multiple days, so they cannot blink away the products being tested.” This just shows how inhumane the tests performed on animals can be. ProCon.org states that animals are put through experiments that require them to be force-fed or deprived from water and food. ProCon.org also discusses how many animals are

About Animal Testing argues “There is also the argument that the reaction of a drug in an animal's body is quite different from the reaction in a human.” (I added quotation marks that I forgot) The tests performed on animals might not be very accurate. About Animal Testing claims that animals have a different reaction to medicines than humans would.” The animals are genetically different and humans might not get the same effects. The fact that the experiments might not be accurate is one more reason why animal testing is so

Of those approved, half are withdrawn…

There are a lot of bad things that happen in this world and Animal Testing is one of them. Doctors,Scientists and other people test on these animals everyday. In my opinion there should be no animal testing at all. It is cruel. Right now there are millions of animals sitting in cold cages waiting for their next painful procedure. The stress, sterility and boredom causes them to develop neurotic behaviors such as, biting themselves and running around in circles. Most of these animals are killed after the testing because there is no possible way for them to live after this has happened. More than 100 million animals suffer this torture. Exact numbers have not been found, in rats, mice, birds, and cold blooded animals take up about 90 percent.…

In many cases, animals are used in order to make sure that a certain product will have no negative side affects on humans. Animals have been used for several decades in experiments to make sure that it is safe for humans to use. One of the biggest controversies in all areas of scientific research today centers on the ethics of animal testing. However, this issue has raised a number of questions relating to human ethics. In the past, according to Michael Allen Fox, “several plans have been introduced for organizations that continuously rely on animals for testing purposes, but no plans have worked so far” (Fox). Animal testing should not be done in a manner as it is presently being done. Not only is it unethical and cruel, but also organizations are using animals in their laboratories for profit purposes and are abusing the rights they have to experiment on these animals. They…

Last year, over 167 million animals died due to animal research. At this rate, the number of animals that will die this year will be well over 200 million. Animals used in these testing facilities are treated in inhumane and disgusting ways. Dogs are forced to eat pesticides, monkeys have their skulls cracked, mice grow tumors larger than their own bodies, bunnies are blinded, the list of cruelties goes on and on. After having these excruciating and terrifying experiments performed on them, they are usually dumped back into a cramped…

Animal testing has always been a dispute between people; some people think it’s morally wrong and some people think it helps with medical and scientific breakthroughs. Drugs that people use or cosmetics that are used could have been tested through animals before being stocked on shelves. About 800 animals are tested on before a drug is passed to clinical trials (“Is animal”). Many animals get tested on, but many like mice, rabbits, hamsters, monkeys, dogs, cats, pigs, and some other animals get tested on. Animals can be used to find new advances in medical treatment and check safety for products, but these animals that get tested on can go through pain and death. Animal testing is wrong and should be stopped because…

Animal testing is bad because it deals with the issue of animal cruelty. It is often argued that these tests cause a lot of pain to the animals and the condition in which they are held captive for experimentation is not at all safe nor healthy for the animals. It also causes animals suffer for the rest of their lives and then they die. This means that afterwards animals aren’t any more active in doing their own things because all of them get locked and stay in cold, barren cages in laboratories and so therefore they can do nothing. But on the other hand there are some people who say testing animals is a good idea because both animals and humans benefit for animals getting experimented…

My first point of why animal testing is an unethical process is based on some of the brutal things that happen in the process of the testing. According to an online article titled "Animals Used for Experimentation | PETA.org", certain types of animals are used for different types of experimentation. Some well known animals that are used for testing are cats, dogs, mice, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, sheep, llamas, cattle, owls, deer, monkeys, and other primates. These are not, by any means, all of the animals that researchers use. These are only the most common.…
