i. Question: What can I do with maintenance that would help reduce emissions?
1. Adding synthetic athletic fields - you don’t have to water or mow but you have to groom it and paint the lines. The maintenance does not require the same demand as turf grass but it is expensive. ii. Question: Anyone aware of GPS equipment being done on mowers?
1. Not doing GPS on mowing equipment at this time and not too sure if it will be done in the near future. Have not looked to see if it would be benefit to mowers.

Subcontracts mostly use gas and diesel and to get them to use better equipment for the environment is hard since the equipment would have to be far better than the equipment they are using now.
3. Up to the board to decide if they want to allocate funds for cleaner environmental equipment for the contractor since they are on retainer for only 5 years.
4. Discussion on Loaner Program
a. SEP grant from $50,000 to $110,000 for loner equipment.
b. Loaner Equipment to Purchase
i. Propane and battery electric mowers. ii. Electric trimmer, blower and chainsaw. iii. Battery handheld equipment, backpack battery and battery charger.
c. Question: What other types of equipment to purchase?
1. Walk behinds 20inch, smaller mowers that use propane, 36inch stander.
a. Comment: mower stander and walk behinds are best for propane.
d. For individuals borrowing the equipment there will be some type of online sign up and a follow up survey.
i. Comment: A time frame of 1-2 weeks is sufficient time for how long to loaner the equipment.
