Why Is Baseball Better Than Basketball
Baseball vs. Basketball Baseball and Basketball are the two games that my kids play. Which do I like best? It is hard to say which I prefer better. Any sport that my kid’s play, I genuinely love. If I have to choose I think it would be baseball; it is an outside sport, it is slower paced and has less “scoring” and it is not as aggressive. First of all baseball is an outside sport that starts in the spring and is played into the summer. Sometimes it is cold and rainy, but for the most part it is decent weather and after spending the winter in doors it makes it nice to be outside again. Basketball is inside and which is ok, but I much rather have the sun shining on me. Baseball is a much quieter sport. Now we can get pretty loud cheering

First, baseball is played in the summer. It is more than a sport, it is a gathering. It has a social appeal that football will never have because the majority of it is played in the warmth of the sun. There is a reason they call them the “Boys of Summer.” We gather with family and friends, eat hot dogs, drink beer, and enjoy tie with our family with the kids out of school. Football games do not…

Baseball is a very fun game to play. While playing the sport the idea is to hit the ball and score a run the more runs you score the better. Baseball is a nine inning game, one inning is when a team hits and plays in the field. When playing baseball try to hit the baseball on offense and on defense try to catch the ball or tag the person out. I know this sounds hard but after a while it gets easier and more fun to play.…

Basketball and baseball are the greatest things to ever happen to me. There is not one day where I do not enjoy shooting hoops or hitting home runs. People always say that I should be playing baseball because of how fit and athletic I am, so I tried it out, and it turned out I was pretty good. For basketball it was a different story. People have said that I was way too short, but my first game I scored about twenty points and everyone kept quiet.…

Baseball reflects the value of the American society and how it behaves; the country acts as a team, but there are some moments where you can shine by yourself and your heroism. As mentioned early, the Civil War played an extravagant role in the creation and development of the sport. In the beginning, soldiers fighting were the ones who majorly played a game in which they got together in a sandlot and started hitting cricket balls. Undoubted, baseball has become an issue of national interest by American citizens.…

I believe that baseball is America’s pastime because haven’t you heard the names of Griffey, Ruth, and Trout, It’s even played on diamonds it is the best sport on the planet no doubt. It is the best sport on the planet but it is also the hardest because you have to hit a round ball with a round bat at 90 plus mph. The reason people love this game as Derek Jeter once said “I think everybody can relate.” He also said this as well “Baseball is up and down. I think life’s like that sometimes, you know. Back and forth, up and down.” So what he means by saying this is that the reason everybody likes it is because baseball is just like life one minute you can be on top of the world or down in the dumps just like real life.…

The love of the game, loud cheering of the crowds, school colors spread throughout the bleachers, and the smell of fresh boiled peanuts; all of these things are the essentials of what makes the perfect baseball or softball game. Baseball is an integral part of American pop culture. Many Americans grow up with baseball, playing it before they can even count all the bases. It is glorified, taught, and fed to us. When we play baseball, we find a respect for the game. The respect we gain from playing it has turned the game into a tradition of American culture. It has formed itself into the business of professional baseball, namely major league baseball. Professional players have become recognized all over the world. They are sought out and admired by fans. Because of their popularity, these players have written books, endorsed commercial products, and found successful and rewarding careers by playing a game. According to Wallup, author of Baseball: An Informal History, baseball has been apart of our culture since the mid to late nineteenth century(Wallup, p16). Many people look at baseball and see a slow-moving game with a bat and a ball, but it is so much more than that. What they do not fully comprehend is the strategic and mentally challenging aspects of the sport that make it special and complex. Baseball is a game filled with life lessons. It teaches you how to have a strong work ethic, be competitive, control the things that you can control, make a plan, and, most importantly, how to fail. As the great Ted Williams once said, "Baseball is the only field of endeavor where a man can succeed three times out of ten and be considered a good performer." Everyone fails, and everyone is thrown curveballs in life, but baseball helps us react to those curveballs and hit them out of the park.…

Basketball is the sport I been playing since I was twelve, I love this sport because you can go anywhere in the world and you will see a basketball hoop anywhere. It does not matter by the court length and the court width, what really matter was a basket for you to shoot on. At an early age I realize basketball is important with these three things, being a good dribble, knowing the smartest pass or play, and for you to be able to shoot the ball; if you didn’t have these three simple things in your repertoire, you were not considered a basketball player. My coach always told me “don’t ever pick up your dribble” the reasoning was the defender can put so much pressure on you when you pick it up the ball than dribbling it. I always knew how to dribble the ball so the defender never wanted to play up because he will get his ankles broken.…
