This was not good. The doctors gave her medicine and a cream to try and get the rash out of her system. She took the medicine and applied the cream for about a month and instead of getting better the rash was getting worse. The doctors upped the medicine dosage and Bionca was on that for around another month until the rash became an infection. Bionca got shots of antibiotics in her leg to try and cure the infection. Unfortunately, it did not work. After another two weeks of shots, and agonizing pain, the decision was made that the prosthetic leg would be removed. The surgery was scheduled for the next month.
Bionca had the prosthetic leg removed the next month. She was so upset that the operation didn’t work as they hoped. After all of this, Bionca still wanted to dance. She was determined to become a professional dancer. A year after the 2nd surgery Bionca’s leg was healed enough so that she could get fitted for a new prosthetic leg. In the years that had passed since Bionca got her first prosthetic leg, many improvements had been made to prosthetic limbs.
