Firstly, in capitalism, the basic things like labour, capital, land resources, that an individual needs to sustain himself is owned by the individual himself. And he is free to make use of it however he pleases without any interference from the government. But in communism, the resources and other means of production are owned by the government, and are given to you to make use off, but not to own or sell. In a communist society, the profit made from a business is shared equally among the people. But this is the opposite in capitalism where the profit made belongs only to the owner of the business. You are allowed to vote for whoever you want and the government doesn’t watch over every aspect of your life. the individual is free to focus on his life and personal progress. But in communism, a totalitarian form of government exists, where the government has complete power over the individual, very few rights and the individual is not free to pursue his personal progress.
