Children from around the world suffer from child poverty, approximately 700 million - 1 billion of the children that live on Earth are suffering from poor malnutrition and starvation, and there is an average rate of 22,000 premature deaths yearly because of this severe issue. Child poverty has a drastic effect on children’s lives. Why hasn’t the issue of child poverty been resolved? Who is helping fix this situation and when do they think the problem will be fixed? These questions need answers, and those answers need to act fast.

Every day, proximately 2,000 children die as a result of transmitting diseases that develop from unsafe drinking water and lack of hygiene provided. Over 100 million infants younger than the age of 5 and underweight and undernourished, contributing to 45% of death amongst young children.
This issue doesn’t just affect children, it can affect a child’s family, as they also may be going through poverty, or are emotionally disturbed that they can’t supply necessities for their child, leading to mental illnesses, extensive stress and anger to relieve frustration. Parents already have enough to worry about.
Organisations such as World Vision, Save The Children and The Smith Family are trying their best to reach an audience that will help this issue by donating money or supplies to help those in need.
