Why Is College Important To Me

Remembering the first thought of school can be quite hilarious. Thinking why do I have to attend school, why even is an education important? However, I began to get a swing of the whole school and education thing. There was preschool, elementary, middle school, and before you know it high school. After high school I realize there is this place called college. I commenced that cycle over again and begin to ask well, “Why is a College Education Important to Me”? Education was instilled in me at a young age, and that getting one was very important. The brain is a powerful thing, which is why I would not want to waste it. My mother did not complete high school and my father did not attend college. I have also seen family members go to college,
but not complete it. Which is why I felt the urge to take on the role to complete college and receive a college education. To show the people around me that it is possible and that getting a college education is important to me and has many benefits. I can go on all day as to why a college education is important to me. First, there are numerous benefits to a college education or a college background. I recognize the benefits of people with a college degree versus a high school diploma. Personally, I would love to have the background of a degree not only for my benefits but for the economy world. With a college education I can experience better job opportunities, which is extremely vital to me. A college degree is the leading pathway to better job opportunities and career. I also feel it will be very important for me to invest my time and money into going to college. In today's economy, employment options are shrinking for people who only have a high school diploma. College graduates, on the other hand, tend to have skills that qualify them for a broad range of employment. Having a post secondary degree leads to better job security. It is also more likely that I will enjoy my job, because of higher income, employment benefits and the fact that I went to college to learn something I found very interesting. College provides me with numerous resources when it comes to what I want to major in plus some.
Of course many people go into college with a mindset of what they want to grasp, however I believe it is significant to go deeper than just that. I too believe college will provide me with those options. I mean come on who would not want to do that?! In college, I am able to choose and vary my options into learning something new that I can take with me throughout life. There are many things I can learn about, that I would have never imagined in college. College will teach me new lessons, which is how to get prepared for the real world. Throughout college, I will learn how to budget my money, independence, multi-tasking, motivation, working with others and prioritizing. Points like this might not be taught through education, however they are taught through the atmosphere of college. Which is why I believe it is important to go to college, learn these things and prepare for the real world. After stating these things I hope you have received a clear understanding as to why a college education is important to me. Now that I am a senior in highschool, I strive to do everything possible to get a college education. Not only going to college to get a education is valuable, being able to learn new things from college is important. This is why a college education is important to
