Why Is Cristiano Ronaldo Or Lionel Messi?
Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi? A debate as old as time it feels. As it should be, considering they are the most recognizable athletes in their respective sport when it comes to not only their respective countries, but the whole entire world. I mean you see it every sport, in the NBA it was Michael Jordan or Magic Johnson, the NFL it was Tom Brady or Peyton Manning, and so on and so forth, it's a part of the game, but should we really shun one over the other when it comes to pure talent? If that was the case there is no argument when it comes to Ronaldo being the more physically athletic and stronger player who is ultimately a better finisher when compared to the other, meanwhile Messi, despite being the smaller of the two has better balance, …show more content…
You cannot compare them. He does the best things for Barcelona, I do the best things for Madrid.” Despite of being quoted saying that it still happens, so it's really illogical to not compare the two. When it comes to International play its hard to argue against Ronaldo playing the better of the two, what I mean by that is that although Ronaldo and Messi both have never won a major tournament in international play, Ronaldo has gone further in more tournaments than Messi, making it to the Semi-finals in both the Euro League in 2012 and the World cup in 2006 and even has the potential to win his first Euro League championship this year, while Messi has been runner up to both Copa America and the World Cup once for both, one could even argue that the competition is Europe is far more superior than the teams in the Americas. But then you come down to individual accolades and Messi is by far the more accomplished athlete, especially at a younger age. For example, Messi has won the FIFA Ballon d'Or, which is an award given to the best Male and Female soccer players in the world, 4 times compared to Ronaldo's 2. Messi has also won La Liga 4 times compared to Ronaldo's 1 time, Messi also holds the world record for the most goals in a calendar year with 91. Ronaldo on the other hand has been considered the better player since his transfer from Manchester United to Real …show more content…
So yes, although Cristiano Ronaldo is my favorite player of the two, what I will do and hope everyone does, is just admire and appreciate what both of these men bring to the table because just like all other sports, MJ vs Magic, Brady vs Manning, you don't know what you got til' it's gone, and no matter how much you may dislike the other, soccer will never be the same when both of these men decide to hang up their cleats for

It is really difficult to entitle one of them as a better player than other because both players have their separate recognition in the world of basketball. They both play as the backbone for their teams. Well if we look in the last season of sports then we will definitely find some remarkable knocks from the Lebron James. Lebron strived a lot in last season and struggled a lot with his teammates to turn the really hard matches into easy victories. Although, Kobe has great understanding with his teammates and his manager but sometimes due to the short temperedness he losses control on his tempo and takes some wrong moves that eventually count very negative impact on scoreboards.…

The moment of glory or the time you shine is one of the best ways that you get to be known and recognized in sports such as soccer the only players that are majorly put on spotlight are the ones who score or the ones who save a shot. But what about the rest of the players, what about the ones who defend, the players that like every other one run as much and give the best they can to make sure that their team has higher chances of succeeding in winning that game. That is why I think that they should become independent of being in the shadows of all those players in the light and become known on their own, obtain equal fame.…

In my opinion I believe that Kobe Bryant and Lebron James are on the same skill level, one athlete just has more experience in the NBA. Saying Kobe Bryant is better than Lebron James is not a valid argument because they play too different positions and their role on the basketball is completely different, that’s like saying Chris Paul who is starting point guard for the Los Angeles Clippers is better than Dwight Howard who is starting center for the Houston Rockets Chris Paul’s role as a point guard is to distribute the ball and set up plays Dwight Howard’s role is to be the defensive anchor, keeping the offensive team from scoring from under the basket.…

“When I meet a European, the first thing I say is, “I’d much rather watch football than football.” But I’m just teasing them, and they know I’d really rather watch football than football.” (Jarod Kintz). Football and soccer are two very different sports but at the same time they do have some similarities. Football is very much a contact and strength sport and soccer is more of a technique sport. But football does require technique as well, and soccer requires more contact than one might think. Differences include scoring, gameplay, field size, equipment, and game length.…
