Importance of Critical Thinking in the Workplace
Critical thinking refers to the deliberate and purposeful in-depth analysis of facts and ideas available at any one time with the objective of arriving at a well-informed decision. According to Finn (2011), critical thinking is essential in all aspects of everyday life. Critical thinking is a skill that can be in a classroom setup and developed over time through constant application. In the workplace, critical thinking plays a central role in day to day operations as is explained herein. Though critical thinking may be time-consuming, the benefits derived from the effective application of the skill far outweigh the effect of the time spent. The objective of this paper is to give a detailed account of the importance of critical thinking in the workplace.
From the employer's perspective, one of the benefits of critical thinking in the workplace is that it boosts productivity and efficiency of the human resource. Through critical thinking, employees are able to make the most effective decisions with regard to daily operations. For instance, in the past, I have used critical thinking to solve disputes

The burden of making decisions affecting the careers and lives of others is not easy but with critical thinking, it is possible. I look forward to being able to manage and run an entire organization successfully in spite of any challenges faced in the normal operations of a firm. I also look forward to improving my proficiency in critical thinking to ensure I will be well equipped by the time I get to the leadership position. More so, in the top management position of an enterprise, I will require critical thinking skills in making nearly all decisions.
