Why Is Donald Trump Successful
Donald Trump is successful. No-one doubts that. He is an American media personality, real estate developer, and businessman with a net worth of between $3.9 billion and $10 billion, depending on who’s calculating it.
One thing to say about Donald Trump, introduced as “businessman’ at the Republican presidential debates, is that he is anything but ‘unpolitical’.
Trump, whose dad was a real estate developer, was marinated in politics from childhood. Trump's father, Frederick Christ "Fred" Trump, made a sizable fortune by building and selling housing for American soldiers and their families in World War II. It was at his father's real estate company that Donald got his start in business. In 1971, he took control of his father's apartment rental

He is probably the most famous American billionaire. His TV show, The Apprentice, ran for 14 years and he sealed his reputation as a brilliant negotiator and as a result, he has received three times the coverage as all other Republican candidates put together.
The Independent once wrote that Trump speaks on the level of a 4th grade child, which makes it easy to understand his message. And Psychology Today wrote: With terror attacks making headlines across the world, Americans feel uneasy and want to trust someone. "Perhaps Mr. Trump's seeming narcissism provides people with the feeling that if he were in charge, someone would know what they're doing — and reduce anxiety.”
Another aspect that helped Trump being successful is that he had a ready-made constituency. During the Obama presidency, Republican voters have been increasingly disenchanted with the party’s leaders. They were frustrated when, despite Republican capture of the House of Representatives in 2010, 2012 and 2014 and the Senate in 2014, those leaders were unable to turn campaign promises into laws. Many “constitutional conservatives” simply ignored the fact that the Constitution gives even a narrowly re-elected president a veto on

While discussing Trump’s business acumen Epstein felt it was necessary to establish that business success doesn’t correlate to political success, however, the two are not mutually exclusive and Trump could be multi-talented. The article also felt it was necessary to mention that Epstein had never read Trump’s book, it also then goes on to criticize the book by stating he has no interest in reading “The Art of the Deal.” This unnecessary and critical comment further enforces the idea that Epstein believes Trump is not fit to be president. In the concluding paragraph Epstein cements the idea that financial success does not transfer to political success. He then goes on to criticize Trump calling him arrogant and claiming his business prowess won’t transfer to his political career. Some of these statements may be based off of truth, but, to be a subjective article one can not put personal opinion in their…

During every campaign season, politicians and activists seek approval of the public by affirming issues of concern and making decent pledges to the electorate. They use rhetorical techniques as well as political gimmickry to capture the public’s attention, get their approval and persuade them tactfully, all this in order to achieve power. This is interesting because the public’s approval plays a significant role in ascertaining the president’s political power and policy-making.…

On June 16, 2015, in the extravagant Trump Tower of New York City, Donald John Trump announced his candidacy for the 2016 presidency. While most Americans raised their eyebrows in bewilderment, comedians erupted in a dance that Happy Feet would envy. His bombastic personality, amorphous hair, and poorly photographed facial expressions have become some of the most popular political punchlines. Critics dissect his statements and possible solutions until they seem unrealistic, and some are, like building a “YUGGEEE” wall to separate America and Mexico. While Trump is one of the most successful men in America, he is portrayed in media to be an ignorant idiot by YouTubers, comedy writers, and even respected…

Donald Trump has problems with connecting with several groups of people. His public image is tainted for his bigotry, inciting violence at his rallies, lack of respect for Women, (comments made about Megyn Kelly), Mexicans who he called rapists and Muslims who he wants to deport. For example, the Justice Department sued Trump’s real estate company twice for not allowing black people to rent his apartments. The company gave different rental terms and conditions to black people that were unfair. The company also lied to them, saying their were no rooms available. During the presidential debates, Donald was asked about those claims and responded saying how an abundance of other companies have done that as well, as if that makes it okay for a future president to do so. In addition, Donald also attacked Muslim gold star parents verbally. Their son had died serving in the Iraq War. After the father gave a speech at the Democratic National Convention Trump said, “ If you look at his wife, she was standing there. She had nothing to say. She probably, maybe she wasn’t allowed to have anything to say. You tell me.”(Marans, “Here Are 13 Examples Of Donald Trump Being Racist). This remark is racist without a doubt and the effect of these examples are scary. He also accused Hillary Clinton of writing a script for the father which is rude and disrespectful. Trump took the Presidential race by a storm instantly gaining supporters from across the nation. However, his strategy was like no other presidential candidate in history. Fearless and bold, President Trump fueled the racism and sexism of America becoming the talk of every community. Yet, some despised him hypocrisy, much more rejoiced his authenticity. He was not a politician nor did he spend decades working in Washington, but he a blatantly honest billionaire who had conquered the business world. Unfortunate for Trump, since his term began in January, he has finally realized that he needs actual political knowledge to govern the nation, a thought that had never crossed his mind. Due to his lack of common sense and education, Trump has unraveled…

When it comes to communication, Donald Trump had a very unique approach. He does not “play it safe” at all. Instead, he is bold and rather casual in debates, and it works. Donald Trump is appealing to a younger crowd beginning with his communication strategy. He talks like he is in high school. He uses his words in a clear way where everyone can comprehend the message he is trying to get across. While it could potentially and did in fact offend people who find themselves more sophisticated, it appealed to the average person. Also, he has sort of mastered exploiting whoever his current opponent is. He proclaims whatever he wants about them, not paying much attention to the truth. For anyone who feels that they have lack of power or are voiceless,…

Since the establishment of our Nation in 1776, we have had 44 Presidents of the United States of America. Of these 44 leaders, the most successful in my opinion was Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States. Bill Clinton served our country for two terms from January 20, 1993 to January 20, 2001. During his administration the United States enjoyed more peace and economic well being than at any other time in its history. Bill Clinton’s accomplishments as President include the creation of millions of new jobs, the lowest unemployment rate in 30 years, the lowest crime rate in 26 years, the passing of the Brady Bill, going from a record budget…

This speech began as epideictic, with a brief mention of his condolences for the families and the lives lost, and included a moment of silence. However, the remainder of his speech turned to a more deliberative type of oratory, which is also known as political rhetoric. This type of rhetorical setting addresses topics such as war and peace, national defense, trade, and legislation, to assess what is harmful and beneficial (Herrick, 2016). During his speech, Trump delivered self-congratulatory comments, political attacks, and strove to instill fear of terrorism. His speech was used an opportunity to spread suspicion and to frame himself as uniquely positioned to make the country safer. There was no sincere outreach to the American public, and the facts he presented did not appear to match the rhetoric.…
