Poe uses all the four elements presented in this essay with most of the literature he writes. Poe’s legacy stays with all the poems and stories he wrote. All these writings always show different types of darkness, mystery, gloomy settings and they leave you with an urge for more. Edgar ends most of his writings in mysterious ways and for that his writings remain labeled as “gothic literature.”
