Why Is Franklin D Roosevelt Considered The Best President

A leader is one who leads or commands a group, organization, or country. Our very own president has the power to lead all of the United States and it is quite possible for him or her to take control of every country. Certain presidents have had to face certain challenges dealing with war and the economy. Some handled these complications poorly while only one president handled it the absolute best. Franklin D. Roosevelt lead our country through a great struggle and I’m here to prove why he is the best president in history. Being president comes with a ton of responsibilities and leadership, but it’s hard with other issues that personally affected him. Franklin had a disease known as Polio which constrained him to a wheelchair. This didn’t affect what the people thought of him at all, in fact, Franklin D. Roosevelt was so loved by the people of the United States that they elected him for four consecutive terms. The people believed that he was the best leader they had, and Franklin knew these people desperately
Franklin then helped Great Britain out even more with the use of the Lend Lease Act which provided U.S. military aid to allied foreign countries. Other than that, America was having their own problems and they didn’t want to join the war because it would have most likely caused more problems. This changed after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, an attack from the Japanese in Hawaii. Roosevelt and the whole country were in shock and on December 8th, 1941, the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor, Roosevelt declared war on Japan. Roosevelt planned to create alliances between countries that were also battling the Axis powers. One big alliance that he had created was with the Soviet Union and their leader, Joseph Stalin. Roosevelt was at all times talking about the war on the radio, supporting the American
