America has recently witnessed a number of shootings. And I think regulation of guns is a necessary action that needs to be taken in order to save lives. Gun control is necessary in order to have a peaceful country and world. Guns are very powerful weapons, and they are way too easy to access nowadays in America. The United States has the highest gun ownership rate in the world, The U.S. has 88.8 guns for every 100 American residents, gun crime and murders had been increasing every year. Without gun control, many lives are being taken for unnecessary reasons in the United States of America. Therefore, guns must be regulated in America, so that they as a country can decrease the number of murders caused by gun use. Many people have been harmed by legal firearms. Must of school shootings involved young people taking guns that their parents owned. it might not have been easy for young people to get access to if had better restrictions been placed on people before letting them purchase a gun. Citizens of America deserve to live a normal life. I believe that people should be able to go anywhere, without having the fear of someone attacking them with an AR-15. The reason persons in the group against gun control believe that gun control is wrong is that they believe we are violating their constitutional rights. However, such rights made sense during the 19th century when citizens did not trust the national government and actually need it them to fight in battles. People who are against gun control, need to understand that gun control doesn’t mean we want to take away their rights to own guns, but that gun control is an attempt to stop the increase in violent crime by strengthening laws on the ownership of
