Why Is Gun Safety Important

268 or more citizens are shot and killed everyday due to the people that are in possession of a gun. Many people believe a gun is to have just for safety but others use it as a sport. Guns have been around for ages and with time have became more and more popular. Due to their popularity they have caused millions and millions of deaths all around the world. Most criminals around the world that are in possession of a gun are the ones who have caused these tragedies. Our society would just have been better off without these weapons that have caused so many terror and disasters to our country.
To begin with, guns have been the cause of many deaths and tragedies. According to the article “11 Facts About Guns”, a gun has caused over 100,000 deaths in the U.S. WOW! Little weapons have killed so many people and caused so many tragedies around the
world. Our country and every country in the world is just better without any type of weapons. Without any weapons there would be no tragedies, without tragedies there would be no dead people, without dead people there would be no cemeteries, and without any cemeteries there would be an entire world of happiness. Everything just leads to everything, exactly how guns lead to deaths and tragedies. As stated in the article “Debunking the “Guns don't kill people, people kill people” Myth” written by Armed with Reason, there has been 1.3 accidental deaths committed with guns. It has not only caused people to kill each other but also about 2.0 accidental deaths. Some accidental deaths have been caused due to children thinking they are toys they can play with and end up shooting and killing someone due to that. All in all, this is one reason why our country and every other country in the entire United States is just much better without guns and any other weapons.
In addition, guns have caused not only adults to commit suicide but also children. Children killing themselves! This isn’t right, no one is supposed to kill another or themselves. Guns are not even supposed to be shown or touched by children. They should not even exist, they are just causing too many damages in our world. Besides that, there has been 4.6 homicides (Armed with Reason). Homicides! How and why do people kill each other? Some people are actually able to control their anger and frustration, while others are not. Most people just act under their violent thoughts, which leads to so many violence in our world with guns. In fact, this is another reason why guns should not be in existence due to all these violent acts.
On the other hand, celebrities like Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and James Earl Jones believe the opposite.
These celebrities believe it is right to be in possession of a gun for safety reasons such as in the case of a home intruder. Certainly, everyone’s safety is important. However, there are other ways to protect yourself and family members. By utilizing a gun for safety, it can cause the home intruder to shoot you or vice versa. The intruder may believe you are trying to argue with him by telling him to put the gun down and to not hurt anyone, which can cause a homicide to occur. This shows how so many people that have violent thoughts can cause so many damage in just one instant. Indeed, this is the last reason of why guns can cause so much damage, terror and disasters to our country and
society.
In the end, all these guns possessed can cause so many damage everywhere. Even though people believe they can be used as a safety tool, others don’t. Others believe it can be used not only to compliment themselves, but also to make their wish become true. In reality the only wish that would become true not for them, but for us would be prison. All in all, these are the reasons why guns are bad for society and can be terrifying to everyone.
