Why Is Imperialism Deficient To America?

It’s a planet, not an empire. Imperialism is defined on dictionary.com as the policy of extending the rule or authority of an empire or nation over foreign countries, or of acquiring and holding colonies and dependencies. America wants to expand their territories they are by dominating weaker countries economically, politically, militarily or culturally. It does seem like imperialism is the correct approach but there are a lot of negative factors that come with it. The three major reasons why imperialism is deficient to America is because of the racial arguments, downfall in economy, and hostility towards American culture.
It is believed that imperialism is a form of racism. As the U.S. expands racial arguments occur due to the discrimination against African Americans and people of different races. Many believe that those of the Anglo-Saxon heritage are superior to other races. The Anglo-Saxon are people who inhabit Great Britain. Many believe that the Anglo-Saxon are the major reason for the unfairness of public officials towards them. The white Southerners major concern is the fear of having the effects of absorbing more people of different races into our country.
Expansion involves too many costs. Expansion will include maintaining the armed forces, requires more taxation, debt, and possibly compulsory. In fact, expansion due to imperialism will attract laborers from other countries that will compete with U.S. workers. People from other countries worked for lower wages which will create competition with U.S. Workers. Referring back to the recent paragraph Southerners fear the effect of absorbing more people of different races into the country, but seeing as these foreigners were willing to work for lower wages there may be acceptance. If citizens of other countries come to America proposing lower wages that means wages will be low for all. All in all, American can not use imperialism to
