Child soldiers are a problem for kids under age the of 15 that who are forced into military service. This putting young kids lives into danger putting them into battle to fight. Also kids this young should not be taught this kind of violence. According to article 38 of the Convention of the Rights of a Child, some governments should be “establishing a ban” (fact sheet) against forced military. Children should be out being innocent kids playing with their friends playing video games enjoying life. Children should be going to school to get their diploma and so they can go to college to get a real job that they actually want. Families should not have to deal with their little and worrying about them at such a young age in the military. Especially people should not go through every day with a gun by their side to protect themselves. Families and their children should be able to have a good job and education and after coming home from work they should be able to go relax and have family time with each other and watch tv. Families also shouldn't have to hide their own children so the government won't take them.for example “indigenous children in peru who have been forced to join guerrilla band have undergone 1000 periods of forced political indoctrination”(pg2 child soldiers) This example shows that children are forced to do stuff that they shouldn't be forced to do. Children should not hide in their own house so that the government don't take them away from their families. To many children are getting killed because of this kinda stuff. For example “in the past decade an estimate of two million children have been killed in armed conflict.three times as many have been permanently disabled or seriously injured”(children, conflicts and the military)this shows that children have much right to speak and tell what they want. For the military children soldiers are perfect, because they are “easily manipulated, intensely loyal, fearless, and, most important, in endless supply”. They are often seen as ideal weapons and are used by rebels and terrorists as suicide bombers, combatants ,spies, and to plant mines.…

There are many ways in which war affects children and young people. It affects every aspect of their being from physical to psychological. Many children die or become very ill as a result of the physical effects of war. This is due to hospitals and health centres being destroyed and doctors and medical staff being killed or fleeing. Children are most vulnerable to diseases like diarrhoea, malaria and cholera. War has a huge impact on children’s education as war destroys industries and jobs. Parents may be forced to keep their children at home to look after their siblings whilst they go out to work forcing the children out of the education system. An education is the best way out of poverty and therefore is imperative for the development of children and young people. Children and young people suffer psychologically from war as they don’t really have an understanding of what is happening and why. It can affect their ability to establish healthy relationships with their peers or adults. Many children or young people turn to alcohol or drug misuse as a coping mechanism for the way they are feeling. They may have lost a family member or…

The use of child soldiers is one of the most blatant abuses of international human rights. There have been a number of treaties that have tried to prohibit these practices, but the use of child soldiers has become more prominent and occurs in approximately 75% of conflicts around the world. Primary causal factors of recruiting children are: social disruptions due to globalization, disease and war which has resulted in further global conflict and generation disconnection which has created a pool of possible recruits and technological improvements with fire arms becoming smaller and lighter allowing children to be more effective. With low draft turnout, conflict leaders see the recruitment and use of children to be a economic benefit. It is low…

Some people think that they should be pardoned and some think otherwise. Even if people think that child soldiers should not receive amnesty, the child soldiers must be given amnesty because they are not responsible for their actions, they do not always have a choice, and because they have suffered a lot of pain and need help.…
