The war of Vimy Ridge started on April 9th 1917 and ended April 12 during 1917 (Richard Foot 2006)
The ridge was captured and obtained from the German army by the Canadian forces (Richard Foot 2006)
This battle was known as Canada's biggest victory and the moment Canada gained independence because no other member of the Triple Entente were able to succeed in capturing the ridge(Richard Foot 2006)
