Gun safety is one thing, self-control around firearms is a very different situation.
When a parent has a firearm in the house where it is easy to access… things need to change gun proofing your house is the most important and also knowing when to use to and how to is also very important. “gun proofing should be done and any parent with firearms should continue to educate their children and make sure that the responsibility of having a fire arm in the house is properly done” (journal Gazeite 1). Let’s change the subject a little bit, let’s talk about knowing the proper way to handle and control a firearm. “Children should never handle guns without adult supervision” (journal Gazette A9). If a child should come across a firearm they should do the responsible thing and not touch it or pick it up. No matter what tell an adult, the adult will take care of the situation never handle it yourself. These are powerful weapons and could hurt possibly kill somebody if put in the wrong
hands. Every child should know the true meaning and understand how to act, handle and control, and have self-control around a firearm no matter what. If no parent who owned a firearm did not teach their children the responsibility of these rules then people may and will get hurt. This has happened many times just like the kid who shot his mom because her firearm was loaded and her and her kids where in Walmart and the 2 year old kid grabbed it and shot his own mother. If the mother was more careful on where she put the firearm she might still be here, but because of the lack of responsibility a terrible thing happened No matter what all children should be educated and be careful around firearms or any weapon. They should know how to act, have self-control, and how to handle and control a firearm so the number of accidents because of these firearms and the lack of responsibility will not happen as often.
