Why Is It Important To Study Worldviews

What is a worldview? Why is it important to study worldviews? These are central questions all people need to find the answers to. Worldviews significantly effect the way each person lives. Choices, actions, and presuppositions all lead back to how someone views the world.
A worldview is a set of beliefs each person has that influences what they believe about the world, humans, and God. To determine a person’s worldview, examine their actions and beliefs. If someone believes that world peace should be everyone’s goal, they have already decided that people can be perfect. When someone believes that all gay people should be slaughtered, they believe that being gay is worse than other wrong things. Perhaps someone believes that if we all work together, we can put an end to bullying. Clearly, they believe that people will no longer have rude thoughts towards others if certain steps are taken. A person can develop a worldview in many ways. Maybe a person got their worldview from their parents, friends, or religion. Additionally, teachers and councelors have an impact on the worldview of their students. No matter where they got their ideas or what they are, each person has a worldview.
If someone has a Christian worldview, they should see the world through the lens
God’s beauty is in every created thing. Because the world has order, it could not have been made by a couple of random events. Science has proven that the world is not millions of years old like some say. Because of the order of the world, God is unbelievably mighty. His power can be seen distinctly in our bodies. If I did not sweat, I would overheat and die. If I never got hungry, I would starve to death. Additionally, I am utterly selfish. Without the Holy Spirit guiding my decisions, I would continue to be selfish.
