One reason John Brown should be considered more of a freedom fighter than a terrorist is that his positive actions strike out his negative. John Brown’s action in the massacre at Pottawatomie Creek were wicked, and people would find him as a terrorist. However, this does not reduce the damage he has done to end slavery. John Brown has helped alongside Harriet Tubman and Fredrick Douglas in the Underground Railroad. His actions have demonstrated good remarks on him. Furthermore, John Brown’s attack on Harpers Ferry was not as violent as his other attacks have been to free slaves. Civilians were killed in this raid. Therefore, the people that have been killed in this raid does not compare to other people that have been killed in his other events. A goal for the terrorist is to terrify other human beings. Terrorist normally hope for a political change, but what they really do is strike back to those who oppose.
