The prime of Professional cyclist doesn’t last forever so they are constantly targeting to achieve excellence and always have huge pressure to perform well in a competition. They know that winning a race is more than a medal on the stage. In their short sporting life, wining a medal or not can make a huge difference on their income and fame. It was not until 2010, United States Anti Doping Agency has opened an official investigation on Lance Armstrong using performance enhancing drugs. Their findings were later accepted by the International Cycling Union. It was ruled that all of Armstrong titles since 1 August 1998 were stripped from him and banned for life.
