Once identified the information extrapolated can then be used to;

Social loafing is a term used to describe a behaviour linked to negative effectiveness when working as a group. Some individuals will not work as efficiently of as effectively when working in a group as opposed to if they are working on their own. Group working is usually seen as a way of accomplishing a task quickly by pooling the talents, resources and skills of the individuals within that group. Sometimes however when individuals work together there is a tendency for some participants to offer or contribute less to the collection. The reasons behind this can be attributed to;
• The task may be too easy or “boring”
• Lack of identifiability
• Individuals own skills attributes are not necessary.
