Why Is Perseverance Important
Perseverance, it's what drives the world we live in today. It shows up in our lives every day. It showed up in my life when I got the opportunity to play AAA hockey in Detroit. It happened to me when I was in sixth grade. It was even prominent when one student got a chance to improve his acting ability through volunteering. It gives many the chances they might normally not get. Perseverance is the drive that everyone has they just may not know yet. When I was fifteen years old I got the opportunity to go live in Detroit Michigan for a once in lifetime opportunity. It was something I wanted to do my whole life and I got a shot at it through perseverance. I tried out for multiple teams when I was younger and even during that same year. I would wake up at 5:30 and drive …show more content…
The one boy was naturally talented but went and did nothing at home thinking that he would get the part at his school. The other less talented boy got an internship at the theater. He worked hard and learned some stuff over the summer with the theater. When the time for the school play tryouts came the boy who got the internship seized the day and got the part through hard work and practice. Without his perseverance this boy may have never gotten the part but through hard work he was able to. Perseverance is the engine to the world we live in. Without it we would be light years away from where we are now. It gives us the ability to push through even if something doesn't work the first time. Ive shown it throughout my life and so have others. It's your choice to keep pushing or to give up on something after your first try. These things are what people need to bring to society and if we can do that then our boundaries on things are limitless. So all I ask from you is if you try something but it doesn't work the first time, keep at it and good things will come your

Beating something can require perseverance in many different ways. In The Call of the Wild, Buck is taken from his cozy home and put on a sled dog team. He fights with the lead dog, Spitz, often, until one time Buck finally beat him in a fight. On the other hand, my Gram went to college and took a speech class. She was afraid of speaking in front of a large group of people, so she used perseverance to help her control her decisions. While Buck and Gram are different, they were both afraid at one point and both beat a fear they had. Both Gram and Buck had to experience something new, whether it was fighting with another dog or going to college and talking in front of people.…

When we think we can't push anymore, we can push a little harder. When we think we're done, we're not. Our society has grown up under the impression that we aren't good enough, we're not strong enough, or we're not fast enough. So ever since I've heard that, I have pushed harder than I thought was possible, pushed past the limit. However at the same time it also personally impacts me because in the concentration camps they had to persevere, a lot. And I can relate a lot to perseverance because I have grown up swimming and the hard practices take a lot of perseverance. “Night” by Elie Wiesel teaches us all to persevere through the hard times and push ourselves past the limit. This is why I chose this…

Remember everything you have faced, all the battles you have won, and all the fears you have overcome.” This author demonstrates precisely what it means to persevere. Perseverance was an early Native American value and many people still consider this value to be critical today. Quitting was despised by Native Americans and still is by people currently.…

One example in which took a lot of perseverance from my father is when he moved all the way from California to Kansas. My father had to change houses and have a new community to live in. It was hard, but he tried to stay strong with all the new challenges/ struggles coming his way. His everyday life had just completely changed. In addition to the first example, my father had to go to a new school. This was a very hard thing to change schools and took a lot of confidence. My father had witnessed many things at his new school. His everyday life had changed, but with his opened minded and social qualities he knew he could get through it. Eventually, his new school taught him that change isn't always so bad. Another thing to remember and example of perseverance is that my father had trouble making new friends. To make more friends, my father had joined a basketball team where he could get out and be active. Also, he tried being as talkative as possible. This happened in 3rd grade, my father was obviously young, so he thought he couldn't make any new friends. Furthermore, you can see that my father went through a tough time and had to make many changes in order to persevere in his…

Perseverance is one of the main skill I have gained through my participation in Squaw Valley Snow Sports. Ski racing, as a whole, is filled with high and low moments, and I believe without the low moments one wouldn't appreciate the glorious highs. I apply this perspective throughout my whole life and use it to motivate myself to be a better student, athlete, and whole person. I am currently recovering from ACL surgery, and I am fairly positive that without SVSS I wouldnt not be as dedicated to returning to snow as strong as possible.…
