At times in life, you think that love is gone. You think that once something leaves, it leaves forever. Something that most of us don’t know is that love stays forever, whether or not we think that it left. In the story of Romeo and Juliet, love is a big part. Love lead to the first scene and the last scene of the book. There was also violence too. Many people debate whether the story of Romeo and Juliet should be taught in ninth grade. In my opinion, i agree with that it should be taught in 9th grade because of what it teaches us. These reasons are that it teaches you why you should love someone for the right reason, why you should be amiable to everyone, and how you would do something differently if you were in a similar situation as in one of the scenes.. …show more content…
In the book, you see that Romeo at first says that he is in love with a girl that doesn’t love him back. Afterwards, when he sees Juliet, he suddenly falls in love with her. For example. On page 79-80, it saids “Romeo (To Juliet): If I abuse with my unworthy hand your holy shrine, here’s the fine I’ll pay: My lips two blushing pilgrims, ready stand to smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss”. This evidence shows us that Romeo never liked the girl he thought he liked, he only had a crush on her. This teaches us kids that love isn’t the same thing as a crush because a crush can be someone you think is physically attractive.     Romeo Montague’s apparent love to Rosaline at the beginning of the play shows how needy Romeo is. Since Rosaline did not want to lose her virginity, Romeo lost interest in her seconds after looking at Juliet.
