Some of the people that were pro to slavery were John C. Calhoun and George Fitzhugh. They thought slavery was a good thing to the society and economy. Calhoun said slavery was good for the economy and for the society to be stable. He mentions South was doing far better both economically and politically than the North by keeping the slaves. He also mentions that slavery exempts Southern society from disorders and dangers resulting from the conflict. Fitzhugh says slavery was a good thing by saying slaves enjoys better life by being slave rather than being a freeman. He says slaves if a slave doesn’t have a master he will have a hard time living in his own. That slave will not have any employment and will not even have a home to live. Doing an injustice to the other people in order to obey the law is meaningless. It is better to break the law rather than following such inferior law. Civil disobedience can be justified if the disobedience is for the right matter. Civil disobedience is needed to bring the change in the government. It is justifiable if it does well to most of the people. Not always the government is good or superior, they might be incorrect too.
