Animals and plants are living creatures that deserve to be alive and living in their natural habitat. They do not deserve to be taken away from their homes just for the benefit of others. The environment is a complicated structure in which the animals and plants depend of each other to survive. Everyone should the opportunity to live in peace without being disturbed. Poaching is a ‘business’ that gains millions of dollars a day and other organizations have taken an interest in the profits. Illegal drugs, weapons, and even organ trafficking trades are connecting to poaching (Illegal Wildlife Trade). Terrorist groups also sues profit from the wildlife trade to fund their violence. These groups are gaining some profit for their parts in the wildlife trade (Fieldstadt). Money can do anything to get people involved in something, like poaching. Poaching is continuing to expand its hold in the criminal world. Local communities are also being effected by poaching. Animals, especially the unique ones, are ways for small villages and cities to attract tourists. A lot of these places make a certain amount of their money through this business. If poaching continues, then the rare creatures living in these places will either become extinct or have its population cut in half. These communities will have economic hardships because tourism will decrease (Estrada). Along with tourism, economic opportunities will decline as well. Local communities depend of wildlife tourism and cannot live without it
