Texting and driving is a very wrong thing to do. If you are texting and driving there is a serious risk you are taking. There is great possibility that something very tragic could happen. It is against the law and you should not break that law. That law is trying to stop us from doing it. Do not text and drive. Texting and driving could end in a horrible accident. For example, if you are driving and you get a text, do not answer it. If you happen to answer it, pull over on the side of the road where you can read and respond to it as long as you aren't driving. Texting while driving is not a good habit, with just moving our eyes from the road to answer a simple message can cause someone life. According to Ian Mulgrew, a journalist author from Canada, many accidents are blamed on distracted driving and most of the distractions are caused by cell phone usage. There are many laws being established to try to prevent distracted driving from happening; although they can’t completely stop it. No matter what age of the driver is, under no circumstance should they be texting while driving. Texting or using a cell phone while driving is very hazardous to yourself and the people surrounding you. However, the lives of innocent people are being taken every day due to a simple distraction. According to Mulgrew, car crashes are four times more common to take place while the driver is on their mobile device over any other causes. According to Bret Schulte, talking on a cell phone is not as dangerous as texting these days.in addition, while talking on the phone, it is easier to still keep focused on the road in front of the driver. Approaching texting and driving is an issue that must be tended to. When I first received my license I was very big on texting and driving. Until one phone call changed my viewing on texting and driving. I had just got back from my friends house when he called me and said that our good buddy Tyler Henson had just wrecked his car into a culvert. The autopsy reports showed no sign of alcohol in his system but the causes or the wreck were decided to be speeding and texting while driving. He was on his way to pick his girlfriend up from her soccer match and was texting her letting her know he as on the way. Due to this tragic event in my life I take this matter seriously and as should we all. Texting and driving is still a huge issue even though it is still being promoted not to do it. It should be taken seriously and should not be taken lightly.…

There is rarely any legitimate reason to text and drive. The vast majority of the texts I receive and send are not life or death situations that require my immediate attention, but when I answer that text, I put myself in a life or death situation. I’m also failing in the responsibility that I and every other person takes up when they get behind the wheel, to drive to the best of my abilities in order to keep myself and those around me safe. It would hurt nothing if I was to simply ignore my phone for the duration of the trip, then answer any messages I’ve received. So by texting while driving, I’m putting at risk the lives of all around me, plus my own, all so that can have conversation that could…
