Depending on what time of day it is could mean you could go to prison. If it's late in the day the judge and jury could be ready to go home so they are willing to decide you are guilty just so they can leave sooner. If our justice system was more eye for an eye then whatever the person did if they were proven guilty the same thing would happen to them. There would still need to be a trial but once they were proven guilty that would be the end of it. …show more content…
Also the way you dress can be a deciding factor on you sentence.
If you look trashy or homeless some people might think you don't know your rights and they could try to take advantage you not knowing. And if they are just looking for a conviction then you could go to jail for something you didn't do. So depending on what they did it might not be to bad but it would be better than spending time in prison for someone else's mistake.
Another factor is who you know or how much money you have. If your family is a judge and they get your case they could take it easy on you. And if your family has money they could try to buyout the judge for him to maybe give you a shorter sentence. If we didn't have this kind of justice system then he wouldn't be going to jail and the family couldn't buy off the judge because whatever he did would be done to
him.
A big benefit to using a different justice system is there would be no more jail or prison. So that means regular citizens wouldn't have to pay tax dollars for a criminal to sit up in the jail getting three free meals a day and somewhere to sleep. Sometimes while people are in jail they can find God or they can use their time to learn a skill so they could contribute to society when they were released. But most people in jail just want to sit there and feel sorry for themselves or be angry because they got put there and they don't realize they did it to themselves when they committed a crime. If we used a more strict way of prosecuting people it would cost less tax dollars that the public has to pay and depending on jat the person did they might not have the chance to be a second offender.
We need a more strict justice system. Without one we have people that stay in and out of prison there whole lives and all they're doing is wasting taxpayers money and time. Also if our way of prosecuting was more strict there would be less of a chance for people to put in jail unlawfully. And they might not want to cover for someone else if that person killed someone then the other person doesn't want to cover for them and die.
