The Uncharted Forest is partly a symbol of the unknown. It embodies all the things in the world that Equality says
he wants to learn about. Equality's society refuses to enter it, just as it refuses to actually learn about nature through the pursuit of science. The forest also symbolizes all that life can be for Equality. He knows he can go to the forest and finally be free of his restrictive society and do and be whatever he wants. For us the uncharted forest can symbolize many things, some of the few could be: innovative thinking and truly thinking outside the box and lastly it could represent a chance to change and to escape and be free.
Equality says his greatest treasure is his freedom. I agree with him because if one isn’t free then that doesn’t give him a choice to do what he wants, if he can’t do what he wants then he is stuck being the ‘passive man’ even though he may want to be the ‘active man’. If one is restricted too long then they lose their drive to do the things that they used to love doing. I also agree that man is the only one that can take freedom away because it is known that men are the most superior species on earth and therefore no one can oppress men other than man himself. And man can oppress whomever he chooses without any rhyme or reason.
In our society we don’t follow the principal “Everything that comes from many is good, everything which comes from one is evil.” First and foremost our society isn’t communist and so individualism is encouraged therefore things that come from one aren’t always evil and things that come from many aren’t always good. E.g. many of our most used inventions came from one person such as the lightbulb and telephone and those aren’t evil. But there are things that come from one that are evil. Whilst
