in 1901, Theodore Roosevelt was the youngest U.SPresident. he suggested important legislation and signed landmark laws to protect health and welfare to americans. he was one of the founders of the Boone and Crocket Club. he promoted the hunting the game of hunting animals and the protection to their habitats. in 1903, roosevelt created the first national wildlife refuge in florida, he signed the Arntiquities Act of 1906. he prepared to protect the Grand Canyon in 1908, Gifford Pinchot was a friend to Thoedore Roosevelt. he found the society of american foresters in 1900. rooselvet appointed Pinchot as the first chief of U.S forest Service. he believed that industries such as timber commercial fishing and mining could be successful as long
