One of the, if not the most popular person from Tupelo, is the rock and roll king himself, Elvis Presley. He has had many feats over the years that has made him into who he was and he is one of the reasons that Tupelo is on the map. He was born on January 8, 1935 in an old 2 room house. He had a twin named Jessie, but he died shortly after the birth (“Elvis Early Childhood”) Another interesting person from Tupelo, MS is Thomas Wesley Pentz, AKA Diplo. On of them that is a great example of both, is Elvis Presley’s original two roomed home. Since he has died, the home has been turned into a museum. Another interesting place within Tupelo is the Automobile Museum. This is one of the many museums in Tupelo, MS.
