Why Kids Shouldn T Have Homework
Many children have homework parents think it helps their children but sometimes it hurts them for example some kids are sleep deprived because they have to stay up so late to finish homework for the next day. Kids shouldn't have homework if it’s hurting them reason one is because it affects kids health and reason two is because it takes time away from other activities. Some people disagree and that’s fine this is just my thoughts on why kids should not have homework. Reason#1: Homework affects students health.
Like I said before when kids have to stay up late to do homework for the next day they get sleep deprived and go to school exhausted and they can’t focus as well as students who get a full night's sleep. From personal experience

Some students don’t know what to do when the teacher assign their homework. They don’t know what to do because when the teachers assign them homework the night before to do, they spent all night doing it. Then the next day at school they are way too tired to process any work and lesson the teachers are teaching. They would just fall asleep and pay less attention. That causes the student to not know what to do and they just write down random answers. Then when they turn it in the teachers mark it wrong and give them a bad grade. Eventually with all these bad grades in their file it will bring their grades down a lot. This would just give more stress to the students and drain their energy. An average person should be getting about seven to eight hours of sleep a night not two or three…

Moreover, homework isn't only wasting the student's time but the teachers time as well. By marking and grading homework, teachers are wasting their time. So teachers, please don't blame us the we wasted your time. Some people assume that homework is useful for teachers to watch student's progress but I firmly believe that homework is sent home to test the parents, not the children. I think that teachers can watch the student's progress in school better because teachers don't know that at home who did the homework, the parent, the student or the internet (Google)??????? People also think that homework helps parents to understand that the school holds high goals for students. But, I consider that school work is harder than homework and that means that parents can understand that the school holds higher goals than they think. Furthermore, homework becomes terrible if no one can help you. If no one can help you then you are doing work that you don’t understand, and if you don’t understand it what’s the point having the work that you can’t even do. I really, strongly believe that more kids would stay in school and have a better learning experience if they did not have the stress of homework.…

Do you get enough sleep at night? Or do you not get enough because you stayed up all night doing homework? A challenge that students face each day is having to do all the homework they have and getting enough sleep. Students can overcome this challenge by going to the School Board Office and stating this problem, paying more attention in class to finish some of it in class, and trying to keep and follow a schedule so they can do homework and sleep on time. We have to do this if we want our children to be healthy.…

Kids should have less homework because they are using all of their time at home doing homework instead of doing something productive. The average student gets around 75% of homework each day. In class you do lots of non-stop work. Then you go home and do the same thing for 5 days. All that work could easily put you under pressure which makes you do your homework all wrong and you don't notice until you get to school. All that pressure could also fail you on a test. When you're trying to do your homework you're also studying for a test.…

The large amount of homework is causing kids in both high school and middle school to be up until midnight or later. When other activities such as sports and clubs are added to the picture, kids may even have to wake up early the next morning to finish their homework, leaving them with not enough sleep. When busy work assignments are given frequently, it causes students to lose interest in the subject. Negative results can also occur when a student is not able to complete his or her homework. Many times they will resort to copying homework, having others do their assignments, or cheating on tests.…

    too much homework

Homework has always been given to students to reinforce what they learn in school, and essentially help students learn the material better. However, too much homework is not helpful at all, and can be a source of anxiety and stress, both of which are mentally unhealthy for kids. For example, a student in high school gets home from an away game late and is exhausted. However he/she still has to complete and review the daily homework assignments: Algebra 2: 20 problems show all work, Anatomy: do work sheet front and back also quiz tomorrow, and History: answer review question for chapters 8-10 on separate paper. As a result he/she is going to have a long night and quite possibly get very little sleep, which in fact, lack of sleep impairs one’s ability to give complete attention. Too much homework results in time taken away from student’s sleep, family time, and can limit participation in outside of school activities such as sports or other academic activity’s. The amount of homework students can receive from teachers should be limited due to the great deal of stress homework causes, the time which is required to complete the homework, and the impact which it can have on students sleep and health.…

As we all know, childhood is the most important stage of life for all children, because they absorb all kinds of things, which they´ll use later to defend themselves. That´s why it´s really important for students to keep a healthy and balance life rhythm, in that way they´ll enjoy their childhood and make it the best of it. Homework plays a relevant part in this stage, because sometimes teachers don´t know how to manage their teaching, so homework becomes a very stressful chore for students. Instead of being a 30 minutes day activity, it starts to become a lifetime nightmare, because students start to become obsessed for grades instead of doing it because they want to learn. Inundating children with hours of homework each night is detrimental, the research suggests, while an hour or two per week usually doesn't impact test scores one way or the other. However, homework only bolsters students' academic performance during their last three years of grade school.…
