They have funnier characters like rocket raccoon who is a talking racoon that’s a tech genius(kind of like Tony Stark), then there's Dead pool who is mutant mercenary with a mouth he’s a “little” crazy which makes him funny and the list goes on. While in DC we don’t have that many characters that are really that funny we have the flash who is a forensic scientist who was struck by lightning and gained the power of super speed, he devoted his life to finding his other murderer he is occasionally funny and then there's green lantern who was chosen by a magical ring that turned him into a member of the green lantern corps(which pretty much means he turned into a space cop)and there are a few more funny DC characters. Some people might argue that Marvel is too funny and not serious enough but Marvel does have serious characters such as the punisher , after his family a got murdered by a mob special forces marine veteran Frank Castle(aka the punisher) he uses his skills against organized crime, then Marvel has ghost rider long story short Johnny blaze made a deal with the Devil (literally) and he became ghost rider but he was tricked and ever since he became the spirit of vengeance, and there are more serious characters. Even in movies the Marvel characters are funnier there have been many Marvel and DC movies and DC has been mostly serious while Marvel
