1.1 Aim of the paper
The general aim of this paper is to discuss the topic “Why Networks Matter”. Therefore business networks are firstly described in order to develop comprehensive views about them. A main focus is put on the notion of relevance of them. Additionally, the interna-tional aspects of business networks are researched and good critically analysis is de-ployed. Through this, the author transfers the common knowledge about business net-works into his personal view about why networks matter and tries to answer the ques-tions why networks matter.
