Why Or Why Mapua Is Better Than Other Schools?
“A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work” – Colin Powell. Everyone has a dream to pursue, to obtain that you need to study hard. And to help the teenagers with their future, universities in each country, gives a proper education to them how to deal in the real world. Like here in the Philippines, many schools are giving their best just to teach their students. Example of the schools are, (DLSU) De la Salle University, (ADMU) Ateneo De Manila University, (UST) University of Santo Tomas, (MIT) Mapua Institute of Technology and many more. Even though MAPUA is not a university it still gives better education like the said universities. And some are choosing Mapua instead of the top three universities. Why or how Mapua is better than other schools? Even though I had a chance to study …show more content…
It is the first school that was credited in the Philippines. ABET accreditation provides assurance that a college or university program meets the quality standards of the profession of the student picked in the said university. Actually, ABET accredited programs of the school not the institution itself. Mapua has 10 programs that was been accredited by ABET. And these are BS ChE, BS CE, BS CpE, BS EE, BS ECE, BS EnSE, BS IE, BS ME, BS CS, and BS IT. It just shows that how Mapua is competitive not just here in the country but also all over the world. And I did some research to some students of Mapua. I just found out that Mapua is joining contests here in the Philippines and also outside of the country. And it always get a medal in every contest that they have participated. Even though it is gold, bronze, or silver. What important is, it just shows that Mapua is doing their best to produce an efficient student to handle pressure in a short span of time. Because when you’re participating to a contest it doesn’t mean that you are excused to your class. That’s why you have two responsibilities to work

I think cognitive dissonance is extremely common in our lives, whether we realize it or not. Almost every day I can say that I am faced with cognitive dissonance. For example I’m on a diet and I know I should not be eating sweets, but when I come by one, even though I’m telling myself in the moment I shouldn't be doing this, I eat the sweets anyway. Shortly before or after eating it I will try to justify in my mind why I just did that or why it was ok. Something like “oh it was just one; as long as I don't keep doing it I’ll be ok.” Just telling myself this in my head is enough sometimes to continue with my actions even though I know I’m contradicting myself.…

First, as a human, we should not easily give up on tasks about that we passion. In the movie, Bartle B did not give up on his idea of running the college even though he was lack of supporters, thus he want to have a college for students to be who they are. Therefore, he obtained a fruitful result. Last but not lease, I have learnt that the system of entering to all universities at America is very selective, which means only students with good performances can enter universities. On the other hand, that system in Cambodia is far easier which students just solely pay fees and can start their universities.…

First of all, it can't be denied that colleges give us higher education. While students are taught the basis of things at secondary schools, they can examine deeper in the areas that they are interested in. For example, we all learn Arts at shool but it is just drawing what you like. However, when we take an Arts course at a university, we will know how to mix colors, how to express our feelings through the pictures and even the methods to make…

One of the most wonderful things about higher education in America is that it varies from institution to institution. There is no “one size fits all” college experience as each individual university has its own standards and traditions, making it easy for anyone pursuing a degree to find the college that is right for them. At nearly all American schools, there is a seemingly infinite list of degrees to choose from as well, many of which can be tailored to meet the students’ individual needs and interests. Perhaps this explains why so many international students choose to study at American institutions. Every year, the US Department of State’s Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs receives nearly 25 million inquiries from hopeful students around the world interested in studying in America (“Why International Students Come to Study at American Colleges and Universities”, Brain Track, 2011). Equally, statistics show that more international students study in America than in any other country in the world. While many similarities do exist between American and International universities, the American college system surpasses all others in quality, flexibility and diversity, as well as being far more culturally expansive, making it the best place to attend school at a college level.…
