There are many instances in which a dilemma can arise. Conflict can have a major impact on one’s life. In fact, Anne Frank’s story is an example of how adversity can interfere, causing conflict. She wrote in her diary, “Hiding… where would we hide? In the city? In the country? In a house? In a shack? When, where, how…? These were questions I wasn’t allowed to ask, but they still kept running through my mind,” (Frank 373). One example of this is, “Choose your battles: let the little stuff go and care about yourself enough to address the important matters,” (Marter). Ordinarily, it is simple to avoid extreme cases of confrontation. In contrast, some conflict can even bring people closer together. Cuncic describes, “Conflict can be beneficial when one person learns to take the perspective of another, or two people reach a compromise. Conflict doesn't have to break apart relationships -- and when managed properly can make them stronger.” Consequently, bonds can become closer due to compromise when a situation appears. Another great preventative is staying positive in communication of opinions. An example of this is, “If you have a difference of opinion with another person, it offers the chance to learn about a perspective other than your own. Learning how to disagree in an agreeable manner is also a useful social skill…,” (Cuncic). Nevertheless, a battle is very easy to prevent when applying optimism and a middle-ground
