Why professionals choose to enter the helping field.

Professionals choose to enter this field for various reasons, some personal, professional, or because they simply want to help others and give them a chance at a better life. Majority of the professionals get a sense of approval when helping others whether offering direct or indirect assistance. Some people chose to enter the helping field because many people around have children with disabilities or dysfunctions within the home and want to make a difference with them, helping them to have that support of the ones that have had the same experience. By learning more of how to help them and to find the best way to support them we can help many of the families around to understand what they are going through as well as learning techniques to help themselves with their child or children. Others chose this field because it hurt reading about so many cases of child abuse from parents of infants, small kids, and children with special needs that were assigned to case workers that knew the kids needed some type of help and they falsely signed papers saying they checked on the child but the children passed away. Feelings of being one could be one of the many caseworkers that actually do care of the outcome of children. Some professionals have actual personal experiences with family of people with different issues. All of these aspects of life have given professionals the motivation to become a worker in the helping field to help those needing help. When in need, we should be able to ask for help and be treated with respect, instead we have seen the opposite. Wanting to be the change in the system, wanting to be the one that cares about these people and helps them along their journey is also I great motivating factor to join the helping field.
