I can pursue a career in sport and inspire the younger generation to become the best they can be even with the many difficult barriers they may face throughout their journey. ‘I can do it!’ Just four little words that made me see how worthwhile all the hours of coaching and dedicated work it takes. Naturally this realisation and ambition led me to consider a career in sport science, a vocation that allows me to combine my energy and enthusiasm for competitive sporting activities with a financially yet rewarding career. I knew a degree in Sport Science is the ideal springboard for my future career options whether within the sports industry or other related fields. One of my goals is to get involved with disabilities and other disadvantages.
My interest in studying sport science was first aroused during my first year of studying GCSE PE which then led to studying PE at A-Level. I achieved a very high grade at GCSE made me very keen to build on my interest in PE. I believe a degree in Sport Science is the first step in that direction as it will teach me the methodological and systematic approach required to improve physical and mental performance at all levels of participation.
