But, from what I’ve seen of her, I can’t say I like her much as a person. Segment 10 talks about how well coached she is in body language, to me this is clear in the fact that her smile feels forced and conscious, and her facial management techniques seem obvious. Her general paralanguage patterns don’t sound natural, but rather curated. In her defense, it’s possible that this is as a result of Having to speak a certain way, as to not repel male voters. As mentioned in Segment 23, female politicians have the extra hurdle of addressing the sound of what they say along with what they’re vocally saying. All of these things combined give off a feeling of overly calculated, and at times even dishonest. This is in such a deep contrast to Senator Clinton’s husband, who is show in Segment 12 to be able to publicly execute nonverbal messages very well. It would seem as though he has also been coached on how to convey these message, but the fact that Bill Clinton is better at it; can make him feel like a more honest person. This is, in a way, backed up by Segment 14 and 26. He really isn’t good at nonverbal lying, this leads me to feel that he is being genuine most other…

Through the first presidential debate, Hillary Clinton has proved that she is the best choice for President. First, she proved that she is more empathetic to the common American. She herself came from a middle-class family. During the debate, she preached about her hardworking father, who worked in drapery. Trump came from a wealthy family, so he cannot relate to average Americans as well as Clinton can. She then expressed her desire for tax cuts for the middle class, and tax increases for the rich. She also mentioned how she intends to create 10 million jobs by investing in industries such as “clean energy”. She proved that she will do her best to make everyday life better for them. I don’t think I would have supported the candidate in the election. First reason being, I don’t think third party candidates can win. For the reason, I don’t want to waste my vote on someone I don’t think can win. Also, I think it takes votes away from other candidates who have a better chance of winning. Second reason, he was only concerned mainly with the overall debt of America. Don’t get me wrong, the debt we are in is a very big problem. However, there is other problems out there though and I would need to know what his plans would have…

Although that may not necessarily be a bad thing, we need a form of change in our country. Something to unify the people and give ourselves a reminder of why this country is supposed to be a leader of the world, and how we earned the title “land of the free, home of the brave.” Hilary, maintaining most of what rang as gospel in the Obama administration, may find herself in the most amicable of spots. A position of power that no woman has ever held before and a nation she can shape however she wants. For that, I applaud her. However, she’s never quite made a clear and unequivocal stance. Changing her ideals and propositions as it becomes the “popular” thing to do. She panders and she caters to whatever takes to be commonplace in the eyes of the people and despite her recurrent insistence of being revolutionary in her opinions she never quite suffices to live up to such a title of grandeur. Don’t even get me started on her moral ambiguity according to what she has presented to the…

She says “We need a Supreme Court that cares more about protecting the right to vote of a person to vote than the right of a corporation to buy an election.” Hillary is showing great affection to the citizens of America and is making them feel safe and have hope to eliminate voter ID laws. Hillary is also showing many examples of ethos, for every statement she gives she backs them up with evidence as to why something is or is not an issue, for example she says “Since the Supreme Court eviscerated a key provision of the Voting Rights Act in 2013, many of the states that previously faced special scrutiny because of a history of racial discrimination have proposed and passed new laws that make it harder than ever to vote.” This quote is very powerful and shows what the states did in response to these political…
