There are coaches, psychologists, dietitians, massage therapist, training at high altitude, and skin tight swim suits. Nevertheless, there are numberless possessions used to gain advantages, which is often unfair considering, like drugs, there are only available to some - as said before wealthy athletes rather than cheats - but not to everyone. But in the actual end does it matter if someone raises her hematocrit by sleeping in a hypoxic air tent, more expensive, or by using erythropoietin, less expensive, if the result is the same? No, to several people it doesn't matter in that they both come to the same results, to others it means the world of difference. But we look down on one way, a cheaper way to accomplish more and give us better performances due to it having the title of illegal drug. Though teenagers obtain steroids to impress other teenagers, more deaths through the sports themselves, steroids being the cheaper option, and measuring and monitoring the distribution of the steroids we still look down on it seeing as we have associated the words ‘illicit’ and ‘cheating’ to these steroids. We have associated the word ‘drug’ to being illegal when in the end countless drugs are not illegitimate and are used in everyday life. Performance enhancing drugs could just become a part of an athletes normal everyday life. All in all performance enhancing drugs (steroids) should be allowed in
