Why Students Choose to Study Abroad

Many students choose to attend schools or universities outside their home countries. Why do some students study abroad? Use specific reasons and details to explain your answer.

In today's world, it is very popular to attend a college abroad. Preferences of students to study in a foreign college vary with the some reasons such as learning a new language, developing themselves as an individual, and experiencing diverse cultures and traditions. In my opinion, above all these reasons one thing stands. The most significant factor for students to select abroad schools is to earn lots of knowledge and experience on a foreign country that people might never learn from anything else.

One reason many students prefer studying abroad rather than staying their home country is the desire of developing themselves as a person. The life is tough when living in a foreign country. They should first learn language in order to communicate well with natives. If they cannot speak well, they do not express their feelings. So people spend much more energy to learn the language abroad than in their home town. In addition, they cope with not only lectures, but also housing works such as cleaning their rooms, cooking, and paying taxes. Dealing with daily affairs makes students more powerful in a foreign country.

Another reason for selecting a foreign school is gathering lots of experiences. For instance, people can get new friendships outside of their home countries, travel ancient places and monuments that they have never seen, and have fun with people from different parts of world. Those are very staggering experiences for abroad students.

Finally, as many prefer studying abroad, they can gain lots of essential information about country's traditions, living style, language, people by living in that country. However, reading from a book or a source on internet cannot provide all these mentioned features of that country.

When people's standard of living improves,they often think about increasing their knowledge so they can have the better life.To do that,they choose to study in developed contries where they can get progressive education.However,everything has its advantages and disadvantages, and studying abroad is no exception.

In my opinion, I think studying abroad is the best way to improve ourselves.As you know, there are obvious advantages to study abroad.

Fristly, studying abroad gives us a better chance to improve our language skills. I think nothing is better than to learn language with the native speakers.Because we can practise with the local people what we studied at school, so it is very useful to improve our listening and speaking skills.It also offer chances to discover the new cultures,way of thinking,history,customs and lifestyles.

Futhermore, we have opportunities to study the new technologies and most recent science achivements.In addition, we are equipped with the valuaable and updated knowledge which may help us find jobs easily after graduated.

However, studying abroad is often expensive.We have to pay not only for our school fees but also for our living cost.Therefore, finance may become the biggest problem. Consequently, it distracts our mind from studying to earning money.

Last but not least,adapting to a new environment is a real challenge for foreign students.While changing the weather can affect our health,different cultures and customs may influence our mind and make us become less confident or even a victim of discrimination.Everyday may turn into a struggle for survival in a strange coutry.If we dont have enough physical and mental strength,we will fail to adjust ourselve in the new environment.As a result, we could neither study or gain beautiful experiences as we have expected.

In conclustion, while studying abraod offers great opportunities for a better future,it also has challenges that we must try our best to overcome what happened to make our dream come true.Therefore,If you have a chance i think you should take that chance to study abroad.
