Why We Should Not Be Allowed To Grade Teachers
Pretend that a teacher is explaining a math problem. A student does not understand and tries to ask a question. But the teacher has already proceed. Imagine this student's feelings. Because of situations like this, students should be allowed to grade their teachers.

In many years of schooling, I have witnessed on a daily basis certain teachers coming to school and not teaching. For example, a few teachers I knew didn't teach as if they were teachers, but they gave out work as if they were supervisors. This caused me to self teach at times. Also, I had to ask my peers for help. On the other hand, how do students know what its like to teach, or even how to do it?

That's a good reason why students should not be allowed to grade teachers.

At Duncanville High School World History class the teacher Julie Phung had been lack in teaching her student all year. But one day student Jeff Bliss got fed up with her teaching strategies and decided to give his opinion about the way she teach and encourage her to teaching a different strategies that she learn them. If you can just get up and teach them instead of handing them a freakin’ packet, yo (Bliss, 2013). There are kids in here who don’t learn like that, they need to teach face-to-face (Bliss, 2013). This was not a set up but the student Jeff Bliss was tired and angry about the way he was learning so he did something about it. The students can benefits from teaching if you have effective strategies and teacher need to improve her way of teaching. Student Jeff Bliss will lose because he will get suspended and teacher will get view by the board. The position I take on this issue that student Jeff Bliss should not confront her in public but wait until after class in a calm voice. I believe she did great by telling him to leave but not saying that any student are waste her time.…

The teacher would be aware that responsibilities lie with them and they are looked upon as a role model. Learners will expect them to have a good knowledge of the subject being taught also provide clear and precise answers for any questions that may be asked. They would need to evaluate their findings of how their session went and ask themselves if adaptions could be made to improve the way in which they teach.…

We all know that teacher’s performance is not 100 percent positive correlation with student’s performance. There is always going to be a student that just doesn't care about school, this person will not try regardless of the teacher's efforts. There will also be student who simply won't be able to understand the material. Try as they might, the teacher might just not be able to make the information understandable for some students. What’s more, if teachers judged by students performance, they may only use their time and energy to teach smart students and ignore the students who traditionally score low. According to the survey of Washington post, responded by more than 1250 teachers among the USA, more than 70% teacher claimed that they will prefer to teach students who easier to get good grade if their performance is only based on students’ test score. Teachers should be rate by the academic quality, teaching skills and classroom…

Media has portrayed teachers in both a goofy light where they are more of a “student/friend” than a teacher or in a very strict by the book regime teacher, where there is no giving. I want student that come into my classroom to feel comfortable and I want them to know that I am not perfect, I am only human and may make mistakes and understand if they make mistakes and will not hold that against them. We will learn together.…

I believe that understanding the definition of positive child guidance and also how to apply it to the classroom is very important. In order to create a respectful and supportive environment for the teacher, for the children, and also for the parents, the teacher should have a clear understanding of how to incorporate positive child guidance within the classroom and also have set goals on how to accomplish it in the classroom. The definition of positive guidance is equipping children to be independent and helping the children develop self control in a positive way. By providing an environment that is geared towards positive guidance, it creates stronger relationships with adults and other children which is very important relationships for children to have to promote…

Teachers are trusted with one of the most important jobs in America. Parents send their children to school so that they can receive a proper education and decide what they want to be in the future. Many teachers go above and beyond to help their students with school work, but there are some teachers who are there just to receive a check. These teachers should be eliminated from the school system by allowing students to evaluate them. Students should be allowed to grade their teachers because their teaching methods should be effective, because their attitudes affect students, and because the amount of time spent teaching is important.…

“You can bring a donkey to the water but you can’t let him drink.” This is a Jamaican proverb that I remember hearing my grandmother say over the years. I asked her what she meant and she said, “I can give you all the tools for success, but if don’t want to be successful then it’s on you.” According to Adler and Van Doren, “A teacher may help his student in many ways; it is the student himself who must do the learning” (Kransy and Sokolik, 2010 p.8). “To teach is to impart knowledge of or skill; give instruction” (Dictionary.com) and “to learn is to acquire knowledge of or skill in by study or instruction” (Dictionary.com). I do believe that a teacher can help students but the students have to try and attain or learn the knowledge that the teacher is trying to impart on them.…

In my opinion teaching is very much like cooking, you follow the recipes and add in your own touch. Cherry Patten asked, “What Makes a good teacher? Like all good recipes, the ingredients for a teacher's success in the classroom are simple, easy to follow, and allow for personal interpretation, to enhance the result.” She's saying, yes, teachers have standards and a curriculum they have to meet, (the recipe.) but with every recipe you have a chance to put your own touch in, to make a lasting impression. I…
